About the team
The people behind Iceland Innovation Week had spent years working in all the spaces of the Nordic startup ecosystem and saw something missing in Iceland: a festival that celebrates our innovation & startup scene in a way that feels like… us. Not stiff. Not generic. Something that brings people together and shows off the creativity happening here every day. So we decided to create it.
Meet our founders!
The founders, Edda Konradsdóttir and Melkorka Sigríður Magnúsdóttir have a simple goal: shine a brighter light on the Icelandic innovation and startup ecosystem and make the experience enjoyable, creative, and memorable.
This is where founders, investors, corporates, and curious minds meet — not only to learn and connect, but have fun, laugh, and try something new. Think meaningful conversations mixed with creative energy and a bit of that Icelandic quirk.
Since 2020, the festival has taken place every year and continues to grow deeper rather then wider — more relevant attendees, better events, higher quality and more excitement each year. Our mission stays the same: to strengthen the community and make the world pay attention to what’s happening here in Iceland and the Nordics — one fun and ambitious festival at a time.
