13:00-15:30 — Exclusive boat adventure: Whale Watching
This whale-watching tour goes from the old harbor of Reykjavik. Be prepared to capture a photo of the giant whales of Iceland. In Faxaflói Bay, the most frequently seen animals are Humpback whales, Minke whales, Porpoises, and Dolphins. For your comfort and warmth, they offer special suits on board. We do advise that you wear your warmest clothes – hats, scarves, gloves etc – as it can get very cold (even on the warmest days) when the boat is in motion. You also have the option to watch the whales from inside. With the large windows and inside warmth, you can enjoy the animals of the North Atlantic from a very comfortable view

Testimonials from investors
We look forward to Iceland Innovation Week every year, not only for the fun events but the genuine connections, networking, and investment opportunities. We invested in a startup who went through our New Nordics Challengers Program as a result from connections made during IIW.
— Kevin Chavanne, Investment Manager at Trinity VC
Attending Iceland Innovation Week has had a substantial impact for our fund. While we haven’t yet deployed capital in Iceland, our involvement with IIW has opened doors to 9 Icelandic companies and 7 more from across the Nordics—introductions we wouldn’t have had otherwise. Connections we've made in Iceland have also served as diligence resources or facilitated introductions around 30 times in the past 2.5 years. This event has offered remarkable ROI for our team, underscoring the ripple effects and value of being part of the IIW community.
— A VC based in the US that wants to keep a low profile👀
I've joined Iceland Innovation Week two times so far and both have been a wonderful experience. The Investor Day and side events were extremely well organized, with lots of attention to detail and unique experiences. Even though the size is smaller than other VC events in Europe, the quality is very high and I´ve made some of the strongest and lasting connections here. Will definitely be back for future editions!
